We are hiring  a Welding and Dyna Test Technician to work in Livonia, MI.

Job Description:

Setting up components for welding according to specifications. Weld exhaust parts for testing. Fabricate brackets, mounts and fixtures for test set up. Preparing catalytic converters for testing.  

Duties and responsibilities may also include the installation of transmissions, transmission components, axles or exhaust components onto various test rigs. Operation of durability and performance test stands.  Monitoring of ongoing tests. Troubleshooting setup and operational issues related to transmission or axle testing.

Work with requesters to meet all testing requirements using written and verbal methods of communication.  

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Welding skills (primarily TIG)
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with engine, transmission, axle and exhaust components and their functions.
  • Computer experience (MS suite; word, excel, power point, etc)
  • Basic hand tool usage

Desired:

  • Associate in Automotive Technology or related field of study
  • Engine or transmission related testing
  • Basic understanding of instrumentation
