This will include but is not limited to answering any questions regarding game play, current promotions, other areas of interest on the property, basic machine maintenance, cashing out of tickets and jackpots/handpays, maintaining a clean slot floor and any work areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrates / explains machine payoffs and types of jackpots paid. Determines and resolves machine jams, printer fills, etc. Inform customer of any ongoing promotions and/or events. Assist patrons with their player’s club cards. Assists customers as needed and provides exceptional customer support. Other duties as assigned. AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory responsibility QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must have High School diploma or equivalent.  Proven experience in managing the delivery of excellent customer service appropriately to spectrum of customers, bi-cultural experience preferred Minimum one (1) year experience in customer service. Minimum one (1) year cash handling experience preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None COMPUTER OPERATIONS Basic personal computer skills. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.). Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
