Kondex Corporation is looking for a Machine Operator to join the Sections department.
Current opening on 1st shift
Current 1st shift hours: Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
Hours can fluctuate depending on customer requirements and training needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load and unload parts from machines while achieving expected rates, which could include one or more advanced machines.
- Operate basic machines such as shot blaster, tumble blaster, media blaster, tempering oven, robotic stacker, band saw, straightening press, etc. These machines do not have progressions to Machine Operator I.
- Read prints and routings.
- Follow established machine settings and parameters.
- Perform lock-out tag-out on equipment.
- Perform basic inspections using hand-held measuring devices.
- Operate lift devices such as boom crane and hand jack.
- May learn to operate multiple advanced machines in the area to prepare for advancement.
- May learn set-ups by assisting Operator I.
- Close orders in computer system.
- Perform 5S activities, including limited preventative maintenance on equipment.
- May assist in training other operators within the department.
- The responsibilities listed above are not all encompassing of what may be asked of associates in this position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, prints, and inspection criteria.
- Ability to learn how to operate more complex equipment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
