ON-SITE ROLE IN LONG BEACH, CA

Schedule: Full-time Monday-Friday / 7:00am - 3:30pm (potential for overtime as business needs require)

We are seeking a highly skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to ensure the operational readiness of our plant equipment and facilities. In this role, you will be instrumental in performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and executing necessary repairs to keep production running smoothly. Your expertise in mechanical systems and commitment to safety will directly contribute to our operational success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair production machinery and plant facilities.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, minimizing downtime.
  • Employ precision measuring tools and instruments to ensure accurate equipment installation and alignment.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and technical diagrams to facilitate effective equipment repair and installation.
  • Uphold a clean and safe work environment by maintaining housekeeping standards in assigned areas.
  • Support operational success through equipment tooling, changeovers, and startups, as needed.
  • Document all maintenance activities, including work requests and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Perform general facility maintenance including minor repairs to building structures, equipment, and systems.
  • Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for repairs and installations.
  • Complete basic carpentry work (repairs to doors, shelving, fixtures, etc.).
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs (fixing leaks, unclogging drains, replacing fixtures).
  • Perform basic electrical work (changing light fixtures, bulbs, outlets – within scope and safety guidelines).
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities and report maintenance issues.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs for warehouse equipment and infrastructure.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area and ensure tools are properly stored.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.



Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Requires a minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience.
  • Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in electrical, plumbing, appliance repairs etc.
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets.
  • Must have own transportation.
  • Candidates will be required to pass a background and drug screening.
