Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Imaging Tech, you will perform a variety of advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures across diverse imaging modalities, under the general direction of departmental leadership.Every day, you will expertly operate complex imaging equipment, precisely execute imaging protocols, and meticulously monitor patients to ensure their safety and comfort throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.To be successful in this role, you will skillfully produce high-quality diagnostic images, collaborate effectively with the medical team, and steadfastly advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes within the imaging environment.

  • Responsible for upholding NHMC Dignity Health's vision, values, and guiding principles. Responsible for maintaining positive morale levels in areas supervised. Communicates in a positive and effective manner with customers and staff.
  • Will function as Coordinator in his/her absence.
  • Responsible for the routine daily operation of the CT scan department and General Radiology in the absence of the Coordinator.
  • Responsible in assisting with the employee schedule, daily work assignments, and productivity standards. This also includes assisting and participating in the call and standby schedule.
  • Responsible for assisting with departmental cross-training in CT and Radiology, when needed.
  • Active participation in daily departmental Quality Control and Process Improvement program.

 

 This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training in an AMA approved school and A minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital and radiology department, upon hire and
  • Medical Radiographer: CA, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA, upon hire and
  • Fire Safety, within 90 Days and
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Mammography, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Quality Management, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Vascular Interventional Rad, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, upon hire

Preferred

  • Associate of Arts in Radiological Technology and A minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital and radiology department, upon hire or
  • Bachelor of Science in Radiological Technology and A minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital and radiology department, upon hire and
  • Previous supervisory experience
