The company is seeking an experienced Project Executive to provide senior-level leadership across major projects and project teams.

About the Position

The Project Executive provides strategic oversight and leadership for assigned projects throughout California, serving as the primary company representative to owners, joint venture partners, employees, trade partners, suppliers, and the public.

This role is responsible for project execution, client relationships, financial performance, business development, team leadership, and operational strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead projects from award through successful construction execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
  • Participate in project pursuits, preconstruction, business development, and client acquisition.
  • Establish project strategy, staffing plans, operational systems, and processes.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, costs, profitability, risk, and overall performance.
  • Lead and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other team members.
  • Drive performance across safety, quality, schedule, cost, and client satisfaction.
  • Partner with operations and safety teams to maintain a proactive safety culture.
  • Monitor project financial performance, forecasts, cash flow, and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and additional services.
  • Represent the company professionally in industry, client, and community activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive construction experience.
  • Proven experience leading complex construction projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, contracts, scheduling, safety, and operations.
  • Demonstrated success building relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors, and industry partners.
  • Experience with business development, project pursuits, preconstruction, or client development.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel throughout California and regularly visit active jobsites.
