The RoleĀ 

As an Advanced Practice Provider in Gynecology Midlife Health, you will manage referred patients with menopause-related symptoms, hormonal concerns, and other specialized midlife health needs. Referrals originate primarily from general obstetrics and gynecology, primary care, and benign gynecology providers, creating a clinically focused practice with meaningful opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.Ā

You will join an established APP and approximately five physician partners, benefiting from developed clinical workflows, experienced onboarding support, and close physician collaboration as you progress toward independent management of a patient panel.Ā 

Ā 

In this role, you will:Ā 

  • Conduct comprehensive specialty gynecology evaluations for patients with menopause and midlife health concerns.Ā 

  • Assess symptoms, formulate diagnoses, and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.Ā 

  • Provide hormonal management and longitudinal follow-up for patients with complex or persistent symptoms.Ā 

  • Coordinate consultations and referrals across primary care, general obstetrics and gynecology, benign gynecology, and other specialties.Ā 

  • Collaborate closely with APP colleagues, physician partners, and multidisciplinary care teams.Ā 

  • Educate patients through shared decision-making, helping them understand treatment options and navigate changes throughout midlife.Ā 

  • Build toward a full patient schedule and independently manage an established panel.Ā 

  • Help refine scheduling, follow-up practices, and clinical approaches within an expanding service line.Ā 

  • Participate in emerging research, academic collaboration, and opportunities related to novel therapies and treatment developments.Ā 

  • Develop a focused area of clinical interest while pursuing advanced expertise in menopause care.Ā

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master’s degree.

Experience: Department and unit specific.

Licensure: License or license eligible as an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and Certified Nurse Midwife) as set forth by the state of Virginia. If Nurse Practitioner, license to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required. Must demonstrate and maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of UVA Health System, the Virginia Board of Medicine or the Virginia Board of Nursing, and appropriate certifying bodies. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Current PALS/NRP, as required, specific to position. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required, specific to position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to noise, radiation, radioactive materials, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $124,845.00 - $178,089.60 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
