Description

Purpose

The Residential Program Manager oversees all aspects of cottage operations for scheduled shifts; serves as a role model for staff and residents.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Oversees the program operations of the cottage. 
  2. Supervises and manages cottage staff. 
  3. Oversees treatment and service delivery (e.g., admissions/departures, treatment plans, lethality assessments, etc.) 
  4. Ensures compliance with local, grant, contract, or licensure requirements for youth treatment. 
  5. Conducts regular inter-disciplinary team management meetings and treatment planning meetings.
  6. Reviews data and reports trends/action plans to Residential Director or the appropriate personnel 
  7. Maintains up-to-date information on OIG and COA guidelines. 
  8. Ensures on-going staff and program development training. 
  9. Acts as a liaison to the campus and larger community 
  10. Participates in Safe Crisis Management as needed. 
  11. Maintains constant on-call status for crisis management. 
  12. Provides on-going training and supervision in the clinical and program development of all staff. 
  13. Oversees administration of and provides input to the Program Director regarding budget. 
  14. Provides staff with direction and priorities. 
  15. Coordinates appropriate scheduling and staffing for the cottage with administrative personnel. 
  16. Continually monitors performance of assigned personnel and reviews performance with individuals as per departmental guidelines. 
  17. Receives and handles referral calls from admissions director or program operations manager.
  18. Creates and maintains a clean and family style environment.
  19. Plans and maintains care and treatment in coordination with Clinical staff. 


Supervisory Responsibilities 

This position directly supervises 6-15 employees in the Youth Care Worker position. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
