We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC turning machines to produce high-precision metal components. The ideal candidate has strong machining knowledge, can work independently, and consistently meets quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision metal parts
  • Load and adjust programs; make offsets and tool changes as required
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
  • Select tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds appropriate for materials and tolerances
  • Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision tools
  • Maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues during production
  • Perform routine maintenance and keep machines and work areas clean
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
  • Work closely with supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel to meet deadlines

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC lathes in a metal manufacturing environment
  • Solid understanding of CNC machining processes and turning operations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
  • Experience machining metals such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and alloys
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CNC setup experience (tooling, offsets, first-article inspection)
  • Basic CNC programming or editing experience (G-code)
  • Experience with multi-axis or live tooling lathes
  • Technical certification or vocational training in machining



Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity for detailed inspection
