The Larson Group Peterbilt is looking for an Diesel Service Technician, Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This position performs with supervision all functions of heavy-duty truck repair mechanics, repairs, and diagnostics.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs diagnostic/mechanical repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components. Testing when completed to ensure repairs are completed properly..
  • Follow safety rules and company policies always.
  • Communicate to Service Foreman regarding parts that are not available for repairs.
  • Download and save to Paccar Solutions/Decisiv: all pictures, engine files (before and after repair), and diagnostic test used to perform repair.
  • Record in detail, the description of all trouble shooting steps and results of repairs made and any other information about the repair.
  • Save all warrantable parts. Tag, wash, box and turn in to correct location. Labels the box with repair order number, S/N, customer name and date.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Clean and return tools used.
  • Advise the following shift's technicians with any special instructions or concerns you found when repairing truck.
  • Maintain efficiency and productivity goals set forth by Service Manager.
  • Maintain Peterbilt online training percentage of 95%.
  • Obtain class A or B CDL and retain during employment.
  • Perform other duties and repairs as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Should possess a High School diploma.
  • A college degree or a certificate or degree from a trade school is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Must Possess or be able to obtain a Class A CDL.
  • Motor Vehicle Record adheres to TLG MVR Guidelines.
