We are currently looking for a VP of Operational Accounting and Reporting.  This role is a key leader within the Accounting team, responsible for overseeing the month-end close process while driving consistency, efficiency, and collaboration across the organization. You’ll partner closely with Accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues, strengthen processes, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Beyond the numbers, this role will help develop and support the accounting team, identify opportunities for automation and process improvement, and bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to a growing and evolving organization.

Responsibilities

Month-End Close & Accounting Oversight 

  • Lead monthly close process, including coordinating the close calendar and establishing timelines with cross-functional teams. 

  • Monitor close progress and proactively address delays or issues. 

  • Conduct EOM segment/brand reviews. 

  • Review ledger maintenance and activity within NetSuite, update customized configurations when needed. 

  • Maintain a clinic allocation model for Accounts Payable. 

Cross-Functional Partnership 

  • Partner with FP&A, AP, HR, Operations, IT, and other cross-functional teams to resolve accounting and reporting issues. 

  • Establish clear expectations for information needed from cross-functional partners. 

  • Communicate accounting impacts of operational or business changes to Directors and leadership. 

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex accounting or operational issues. 

Team Leadership & Director Support 

  • Ensure consistent leadership practices, communication, accountability, and development across brands. 

  • Identify team capacity issues and proactively rebalance workload or resources. 

  • Maintain visibility and engagement across the department through regular team interaction and recognition. 

  • Identify opportunities for employee development, cross-training, succession planning, and increased responsibilities. 

Process Improvement & Efficiency 

  • Identify repetitive or manual accounting processes and develop opportunities for automation, standardization, or elimination. 

  • Establish consistent processes and documentation across brands where appropriate. 

  • Monitor the effectiveness of newly implemented processes. 

  • Maintain a forward-looking list of process improvement opportunities and prioritize based on impact. 


Qualifications

  • CPA Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
  • Prior public accounting experience a plus
