This role will lead teams through growth and change while ensuring Habitat Dane remains focused on what matters most: serving our community and helping families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership.

The Opportunity

As Senior Director of ReStore, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for ReStore East and ReStore West, overseeing approximately 20 team members across retail operations, warehouse and logistics, transportation, and support functions, while partnering with a dedicated volunteer base that helps power our mission.

In this role, you will:

  • Shape the future vision and long-term strategy of Habitat Dane's ReStore operations.
  • Lead operational improvements and change initiatives that enhance efficiency, team engagement, and customer experience.
  • Develop managers and future leaders through coaching, mentoring, and performance development.
  • Oversee retail sales, merchandising, inventory management, donation acquisition, warehouse operations, fleet management, and logistics.
  • Establish performance metrics and accountability systems that support operational excellence and financial sustainability.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth, process improvement, and community impact.
  • Partner with senior leadership to support organizational priorities and long-term growth.
  • Ensure facilities, operations, and teams operate safely, effectively, and in alignment with Habitat Dane's mission and values.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will:

  • Bring seven or more years of progressive leadership experience in retail, operations, logistics, warehousing, procurement, or business management.
  • Have experience managing multiple functions, locations, or operational teams.
  • Build trust and credibility across all levels of an organization.
  • Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Develop and mentor leaders while creating an engaged workplace culture.
  • Lead with humility, emotional intelligence, accountability, and optimism.
