What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic wounds across multiple care settingsÂ
- Develop and implement evidence-based wound care treatment plansÂ
- Ensure care delivery meets current clinical standards and best practicesÂ
- Provide education and guidance to facility staff on wound management and preventionÂ
- Address related acute and chronic primary care concerns and determine medical urgencyÂ
- Order and interpret diagnostic labs and imaging as appropriateÂ
- Prescribe medications within scope of practiceÂ
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and specialty providers as neededÂ
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and billingÂ
- Apply strong clinical judgment in complex and evolving care situationsÂ
- Travel onsite to multiple facilities within the Madison service areaÂ
What You Bring
- Active Wisconsin Nurse Practitioner license in good standingÂ
- WOCN certification or willingness to obtain within 6 monthsÂ
- Active BLS certificationÂ
- DEA registration or eligibility to obtainÂ
- Strong clinical assessment and wound care skillsÂ
- High emotional intelligence and strong patient communication skillsÂ
- Ability to work independently across multiple sitesÂ
- Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skillsÂ
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered careÂ
What Sets You Apart
- 1+ year experience in Internal Medicine and/or Wound CareÂ
- Leadership experience or strong clinical ownership mindsetÂ
- Ability to stay organized while pivoting quickly between prioritiesÂ
- Confidence working autonomously in fast-paced environmentsÂ
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsÂ
