Position Overview:

The Final Assembler will support our Production Department by assembling gas delivery systems and components. In addition to being able to read and understand engineering drawings and job travelers, the applicant must also have experience with mechanical assembly, measuring, hand tools, and have good manual dexterity. This position also requires some basic electronics skills and knowledge of PLC operations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Read project drawings, specifications, work orders, and procedures
  • Position, align, and adjust components for proper fit & function
  • Prepare and connect cables, tubes, and wiring as directed
  • Identify faulty components
  • Safely operate common manufacturing tools and equipment
  • Perform standard assembly procedures
  • Provide input regarding the quality and performance of final assembly
  • Complete production paperwork and recordkeeping
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area (5S)
  • Willing to work overtime as required
  • Effectively interface with team members for component and equipment resources

Essential Skills:

  • Quality/detail oriented with the ability to achieve repeatable results
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination with the ability to work with and handle small instruments and components
  • Strong appreciation for time management, priorities, and deadlines

Requirements:

  • Must have good vision and dexterity
  • Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and sit throughout the day for extended periods of time
  • Be able to follow protocols and direction thoroughly and repetitively
  • High School degree preferred
  • 1-2 years' experience in a production, assembly, or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with the operation of common manufacturing tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
