In this role, you will be a part of the day-to-day operations in support of the team's objective to identify, pursue, and win strategic opportunities that drive sustainable growth, strengthen customer/industry partnerships, leverage company strengths, and deliver tailored solutions to our government clients to support their mission. Responsibilities
- Help prepare and maintain weekly dashboards, monthly status briefs, pipeline trackers, opportunity quads, gate reviews, and other as-needed tracking and briefing materials
- Conduct market research using relevant platforms such as SAM.gov, PIEE, GovWin, LRAES, LRAFS, agency forecast lists, and other agency-specific portals, and gather documentation on opportunities of interest
- Maintain and update the opportunity pipeline in CRM (CostPoint) or SharePoint, including status, probability, estimated value, and next actions
- Assist with data calls, capability matrix updates, and internal BD process documentation
- Track and coordinate teaming agreements and non-disclosure agreements
- Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, take notes, and track action items
- Maintain file organization of business development and proposal related presentations, documents, and reports
- Attend industry days, conferences, or BD events for the company
- Interface with different departments to learn about business functions including recruiting, contract management, and security procedures
- Miscellaneous tasking as assigned across all departments including accounting, human resources, and contracts
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
High level proficiency in Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to proactively learn, ask questions, and identify new opportunities to provide support
Adept with basic research methods
Ability to think analytically and exhibit problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, organizational and inter-personal skills
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
1+ years of professional experience (inclusive of internships or academic projects)
Desired:
Exposure to federal, state, or local government contracting environments
Experience with CRM tools such as GovWin or Deltek
Knowledge of business development or proposal processes (e.g., Shipley methodology)
Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude or similar
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Salary range ​(subject to experience and qualifications) - $50,000 - $80,000
