Job Overview Summary


The Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, security, and reliability of the technology systems that support our business in the security systems integration industry. This role keeps our cloud-first environment secure, reliable, and scalable. 

The Systems Administrator will manage identity, endpoint, collaboration, and network services, serve as a technical escalation point for the IT support team, and play a key role in maintaining the company’s security and compliance program. 


What you’ll be doing (and doing well!):

  • Administer the company’s Microsoft 365 environment, including identity, email, and collaboration services. 
  • Manage the user account lifecycle, access permissions, and privileged role reviews in line with security policies. 
  • Manage automated endpoint configuration, compliance, and application deployment for company computers and mobile devices. 
  • Deploy and maintain office networks, wireless, and firewalls across all company locations. 
  • Administer backup and recovery for critical business data, including regular restore testing. 
  • Monitor system health and security alerts and drive issues through to remediation. 
  • Serve as an escalation point for the IT support team and participate in root cause analysis. 
  • Support security and compliance initiatives, including audit evidence for SOC 2 and ISO 27001. 
  • Administer services including internet, phone, mobile carriers, and domain and DNS hosting. 
  • Manage licensing and keep documentation and asset records current. 
  • Evaluate new technologies, including AI tools, that improve productivity, reliability, and security. 
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What we Like about you:

  • A sense of humor, creativity, and a positive attitude. 
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role in a cloud-first Microsoft environment. 
  • Strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365, identity and endpoint management, and networking. 
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001. 
  • Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi or comparable cloud-managed networking is a plus. 
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to support non-technical staff. 
  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft role-based or CompTIA, are a plus. 
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to company locations and support after-hours maintenance windows.

Pay Transparency Statement

The base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $112,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
