Argenta, MVS is currently looking for an Animal Care Manager at our Manhattan, KS location.
Responsibilities:Ā
- Set up animal rooms as per protocol design or as instructed by supervisor or study investigator.Ā
- Routine monitoring of room and routine room cleaning during live phase of studyĀ
- Tear down animal rooms and clean/disinfect post study completion.Ā
- Collect protocol specific research data in accordance with Good Documentation PracticesĀ
- Collect protocol specific samples.Ā
- Assist veterinarians in animal procedures.Ā
- Animal health observationsĀ
- Inform veterinary staff if health abnormalities are observed in animals.Ā
- Feeding of animalsĀ
- Repair, maintain, and operate equipment/machinery.Ā
- Perform administrative duties that support the care of animals and site functions.Ā
- Maintenance of research information and the performance of clerical dutiesĀ
- Assist in identifying and follow up with compliance and QC/QA action items.Ā
- Monitor and communicate with senior staff key developments pertinent to active studies by composing contemporaneous study specific documentation.
About You:Ā
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experienceĀ
- Experience working with animals; large and smallĀ
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Team player
- Dependable
- Effective Communication skills both written and oral, and ability to work collaboratively.Ā
- Attention to detail and analytically driven
- Problem solving and resourceful thinking
- Flexibility and ability to multitask and manage time effectively.Ā
