Their duties include conducting routine physical examinations on patients, referring patients to medical specialists or counseling services and prescribing patients medications based on their condition. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Organizes, directs and provides medical and health diagnostic testing services in the health clinic setting. Provides medical direction for the clinic’s healthcare activities and medical supervision of the healthcare staff. Participates in medical consultation with other physicians as necessary. Ensures Clinic department policies, procedures and services are in compliance with hospital regulatory and accreditation standards. Provides orientation to any new physician or mid-level practitioner. Acts as a liaison between the staff of the Clinic and the independent physicians in the community. Completes charting and required paperwork in a timely manner, through use of transcription and electronic medical record. Completes mandatory educational requirements any other applicable in-services. Participates in clinical and regulatory trainings. Thorough knowledge of hospital-wide policies and procedures. Considers work methods as they affect safety of hospital personnel, patients and visitors. Maintains effective relationships with patients. Maintains a good working relationship with members of the medical staff, administration and hospital employees. Demonstrates appropriateness in meeting objectives in age-specifics. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsMust have a valid State of Michigan Medical License. Must have a valid State of Michigan Pharmacy License. Must have a valid DEA License. BLS, ACLS & PALS Certification. Family Practice residency completion. Board Certification preferred.
