Utility Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking dependable and hardworking Utility Workers to support the daily operations of our food service team. This is a general support role responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment by assisting with cleaning, dishwashing, trash removal, stocking supplies, moving equipment, and supporting team members wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, sanitation, and upkeep of kitchens, dining areas, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment while following sanitation standards.
• Collect, transport, and properly dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Stock supplies and maintain organized storage areas.
• Assist with setting up, moving, and breaking down furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks and safely operate basic tools and equipment as needed.
• Support other departments by delivering supplies and performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous utility, dishwasher, janitorial, or food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of basic sanitation and safety procedures.
• Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods, with the ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a background check (if required by the client).
• Ability to follow all workplace safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
