At Wolfe Eye Clinic, we create Better Vision for a Better Life. We have an immediate opening for a Medical Records patient representative based in our Marshalltown clinic. Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Responsibilities include: Managing and maintaining medical records. Scanning and uploading documents. Processing incoming and outgoing medical records. Preparing charts for physicians and surgical scheduling. Processing incoming and outgoing mail. Packing and shipping supplies and records. Performing front desk duties such as patient check in, answering phone calls, responding to messages, as well as scheduling and rescheduling appointments. Entering and scheduling referrals. Calling patients for recall, rescheduling, confirming appointments, etc. Adding new provider information. Verifying insurance. Performing other clerical duties as needed. Traveling to other clinics as needed. Qualifications include: Ability to demonstrate strong patient service skills. Ability to effectively enter information into a variety of computer programs. Ability to portray a professional attitude and appearance. Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multi-task and float between multiple tasks. Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure timely execution. Preferred (but not required) qualifications are: Previous experience in a medical office. Previous experience with electronic medical records or medical office software.
