Summary:
Crew leader is responsible for leading the Module Line floor operations and supporting the Supervisors by being an expert on all safety, quality, and production required standardized work. Must maintain a safe, clean, organized, and productive work environment that supports the LG Way and produces high quality lithium-ion batteries to make LGESMI #1. Coordinate activities, guide, and support training Module Assemblers (I-III).
Responsibilities:
- Organize and coordinate operator work assignments, scheduling around breaks, vacations and absenteeism
- Manage Daily Production Targets and achievement rates (Safety, Quality, Production Goals, OEE, Yield, and R&R)
- Maintain a Manufacturing floor Presences of 95/5% and shows proficient understanding of processes
- First line of defense on ‘minor’ people issues, escalating to the Production Supervisor as appropriate
- Ensure teams are following established process standards
- Ensure Module Assembler training is consistently and effectively taking place; gage operator skills and capabilities; and ensure training and area assignments align accordingly
- Perform process audits daily and correct performance issues in a timely manor
- Participate in monthly inventory count
- Provide back-up support to Module Supervisor(s)
- Complete daily documentation and audits, as required by position
- Adhere to safety requirements at all times, including the use of proper PPE
- Maintain 5S and 3R standards along with 7 waste submissions (Support Team Submissions)
- Adhere to general, and position-specific, dress code requirements
- Participate in, and successfully complete, any and all training requirements/meetings
- Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required
- Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area
- Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
- Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
- Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Vocational certificate or associates degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience
Experience:
- 1 to 3+ years of related work experience
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment
- Experience mentoring and leading people highly desired

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours
- Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes
- Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours
- Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Stoop, twist, bend, overhead reach, sit and/or stand
