At Thompson Child & Family Focus, our work strengthens children, families, and communities. We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead front-end recruiting, sourcing, and pipeline development across the agency. This individual contributor role will partner with hiring leaders to understand workforce priorities, develop targeted sourcing strategies, screen and qualify candidates, and build sustainable talent pipelines for current and future needs.

What You Will Do


As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will:

  • Own and manage recruitment intake strategies that align hiring priorities with Thompson’s workforce needs.
  • Create compelling, high-quality job postings that accurately communicate position requirements and the Thompson employer brand.
  • Proactively source qualified candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, social media, Handshake, community outreach, direct sourcing, and relationship-building.
  • Screen and qualify candidates based on position requirements, organizational culture, and hiring manager expectations.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop targeted recruitment strategies and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Lead specialized recruiting efforts for leadership, priority, and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Build and maintain talent pools for critical roles and future workforce needs.
  • Establish and strengthen partnerships with colleges, universities, community organizations, and workforce development programs.
  • Monitor recruitment market trends and recommend sourcing approaches that improve candidate quality and talent visibility.
  • Ensure recruiting activities comply with applicable employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

Requirements

What You Bring


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least four years of full-cycle talent acquisition experience.
  • Demonstrated success using proactive sourcing strategies across LinkedIn, Indeed, social media, Handshake, community outreach, direct sourcing, and relationship-building.
  • Strong candidate screening and assessment skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • Ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies for a variety of positions, including leadership and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently, manage competing priorities, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with employment laws, recruiting regulations, and talent acquisition best practices.
  • Advanced experience with applicant tracking systems, sourcing platforms, Microsoft Office, and other recruiting technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous healthcare or mental health industry experience.
  • Experience using AI technologies to support recruiting effectiveness and workflow efficiency.
