DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT


Butler County Community College (BC3) is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Operations. This is a regular full-time position that will begin immediately.

Reporting to the Vice President for Administration and Finance, the Director of Operations is responsible for providing leadership and management for all physical plant operations at all five of BC3’s locations, including, but not limited to, building repair and maintenance, custodial services, shipping and receiving, vehicle services. The Director is also responsible for facilities planning and construction. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in engineering, architecture, or related field required. Other Bachelor degrees may be considered pending specific applicable experience. Master’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred. Three years’ experience in architecture/engineering, project management, construction management or facilities maintenance required. Supervisory experience required. Educational institution experience preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

BC3 is nestled in the rolling hills of Western Pennsylvania and only 45 minutes from the cultural life of Pittsburgh. BC3 offers unique programs such as Measurement Science/Metrology, Massage Therapy, Electronics, Nanofabrication Technology, and Park and Recreation Management. BC3 offers over 100 courses in online and distance education. In addition to degree programs, BC3 has a public safety training facility at its main campus that serves 15,000 students annually for business training, industrial safety training, and public safety – fire, EMS, Hazmat, and police training.
