Mountain Community Health Partnership (MCHP) is seeking a full-time medial interpreter/translator who will also serve as a Patient Services Representative (PSR) when interpretation services are not required. This dual-role position is essential in ensuring that all patients - regardless of language - receive the highest quality of care and support.  


Key Responsibilities:

As an Interpreter/Translator:

  • Facilitate communication between non-English speaking patients and medical staff. 
  • Translate medical information accurately and clearly, using appropriate terminology. 
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and cultural sensitivity at all times. 
  • Assist with appointment reminds and patient follow-ups. 
  • Translate written materials and support staff with language needs. 


As a Patient Services Representative (PSR):

  • Greet and check in patients with professionalism. 
  • Manage appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and co-pay collection. 
  • Answer and direct phone calls; provide general clinic information. 
  • Support administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations. 


Qualifications: 

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Interpreter/Translator certification or training preferred. 
  • Experience: Fluent in English and Spanish. Experience in a medical office setting and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, detail-oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and critical thinking skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
