Job DetailsJob Location: McPherson, KS 67460Position Type: Full Time  Clinical Lead / Senior Outpatient Clinician Location: Newton, KS Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday (Day Shift, Flexible Hours) Are you an experienced mental health professional looking to step into a leadership role without stepping away from client care? We are seeking a Clinical Lead to join our team in Newton, KS. This position offers the ideal balance of direct clinical practice, team leadership, and administrative direction—all within a predictable, daytime Monday-through-Friday schedule with flexible hours. Position Overview As the Clinical Lead, you will provide administrative and clinical oversight to our outpatient team while maintaining a reduced clinical caseload (approximately 15 direct client hours per week). You will mentor clinical staff, drive quality improvement, support professional development, and ensure smooth operational workflow within the clinic. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Supervision: Provide direct supervision, guidance, and ongoing feedback to clinical staff. Conduct annual performance reviews, coordinate team trainings, foster high morale, and interpret organizational policies for the team. Direct Clinical Care: Deliver individual and family psychotherapy, comprehensive evaluations, psychological testing, and case consultations across a diverse lifespan (children, adolescents, adults, and older adults). Quality Assurance & Compliance: Oversee documentation standards and quality improvement initiatives (QAPI). Ensure timely completion of progress notes, evaluations, and psychological testing reports according to facility guidelines. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with referral sources, treatment teams, and utilization review staff to ensure smooth authorization and continuity of care. Community Education & Development: Lead occasional educational workshops for professional and public audiences, maintain required Kansas QMHP licensure, and participate in ongoing continuing education. Qualifications Minimum Education:  Social worker, Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist; independently licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Review Board (BSRB) in the State of Kansas Minimum Experience:  History of working in a mental health Therapy/Assessment capacity and minimum of one year of supervisory or relevant experience. Must demonstrate skill and competence working with individuals, families, and groups, utilizing a combination of modalities and treatment approaches, such as cognitive, supportive, behavioral, and psychodynamic Must have good listening skills, verbal skills, and written communication skills Must have good diagnostic skills and quality documentation skills Must maintain CEs and Kansas State licensure Must be able to communicate effectively with referral sources and external care providers Must be credentialed by Prairie View to do evaluations, individual psychotherapy, family therapy, group therapy, and collateral consultations with children, adolescents, adults and older adults Must be proficient at basic keyboarding/word-processing skills Must be able to pass Kansas Bureau of Investigation Screen and the Central Registry Screen for both adults and children
