Job DetailsJob Location: Memphis, TN - Memphis, TN 38119Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: AnyFederal Alarm is seeking an Experienced Alarm Technician to join our Memphis team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing, servicing, repairing, and inspecting low-voltage security and life-safety systems. **PRIOR ALARM/LOW-VOLTAGE TECHNICIAN EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.** Responsibilities: Install, service, repair, and inspect low-voltage systems in accordance with company standards, NEC, manufacturer guidelines, and safety policies. Service and troubleshoot Fire Alarm, Access Control, Intrusion, and CCTV systems. Assist senior technicians with complex systems and provide guidance to less-experienced technicians. Assist the Technician Manager (TM) as needed. Complete required UL, FM, and other service documentation. Communicate job progress and provide professional customer service during installations and service calls. Assist with customer onboarding and maintain strong customer relationships. Operate job-related equipment such as bucket trucks, scissor lifts, and trenchers. Read and understand blueprints, drawings, plans, and job specifications. Maintain a professional appearance and follow all company safety requirements. QualificationsQualifications: Previous alarm, security systems, or low-voltage technician experience required. Knowledge of Fire Alarm, Access Control, Intrusion, and CCTV systems. Basic understanding of IT and networking infrastructure. Experience with hand and power tools. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends as needed. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Willingness and ability to obtain NICET I Certification. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in various positions for extended periods. Ability to climb ladders and safely work from lifts and other elevated areas. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, equipment, and materials as needed. Ability to work overhead and in tight or confined spaces. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely operate or work from bucket trucks, scissor lifts, and other job-related equipment. Ability to perform essential job functions safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
