About the Role:

St. Luke Learning Center in Memphis, TN is looking for a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Teacher to inspire young minds and create a nurturing classroom environment. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on children's lives while being part of a caring and mission-driven team.

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum that support early childhood development
Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment for all students
Monitor and assess student progress, documenting developmental milestones
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and behavior
Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and center policies
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

CDA, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
Previous experience in a lead teacher or childcare role required
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood curriculum
Strong classroom management and communication skills
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass a background check per Tennessee childcare licensing requirements
Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for working with children
