The Data Governance Analyst plays a key role in advancing enterprise data governance initiatives by partnering with data owners, data stewards, and technical teams to deliver high-quality, business-driven solutions. This position supports the implementation and ongoing management of data governance capabilities, including data cataloging, master data management, data quality, and data profiling. The analyst ensures governance initiatives are aligned with business requirements, deliver measurable value, and promote the integrity, consistency, and usability of organizational data
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in  Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field; or relevant experience.Â
Experience: 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, data analysis or related disciplines
Travel: 10%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data GovernanceÂ
- Execute enterprise Data Governance policies, standards, and proceduresÂ
- Promote data literacy and foster a data centric culture across the organizationÂ
- Ensure assigned data domains comply with governance standardsÂ
- Advocate change management efforts related to data governance adoption and tool implementationÂ
Data QualityÂ
- Develop and monitor data quality metrics and KPIsÂ
- Identify data quality issues and coordinate remediation activitiesÂ
- Analyze root causes of data defectsÂ
- Partner will data owners and data stewards to define business validation rules Â
- Support continuous improvement initiatives Â

Metadata ManagementÂ
- Maintain business glossary termsÂ
- Create and maintain business definitions Â
- Document data lineage with technical teamsÂ
- Maintain metadata within the enterprise data catalogÂ
- Ensure metadata remains current and accurate. Â
Â
Master Data Management (MDM)Â
- Define and maintain master data standardsÂ
- Review master data creation and change requestsÂ
- Assist with duplicate record identification and resolutionÂ
- Ensure consistency across systemsÂ
- Participate in MDM implementation initiativesÂ
- Support survivorship and matching rule definitionsÂ
Â
Data Catalog ManagementÂ
- Support Data Owners and Data Stewards in business metadata within the data catalogÂ
- Classify data assetsÂ
- Support catalog adoption throughout the organizationÂ
- Collaborate with technical stewards to improve metadata qualityÂ
Â
Business Data Ownership SupportÂ
- Partner with Data Owners and Data Stewards to establish accountabilityÂ
- Assist business areas in identifying critical data elements Â
- Recommend improvements to business processes affecting dataÂ
- Coordinate business decisions regarding data standardsÂ
Â
Business Process ImprovementÂ
- Identify opportunities to improve data collection processesÂ
- Recommend process enhancementsÂ
- Eliminate redundant data collectionÂ
- Improve data capture at the sourceÂ
- Reduce manual work through standardizationÂ
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
