At Living Well Disability Services, we transform the lives of people impacted by disabilities through the delivery of exceptional services. We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support special projects and day-to-day operations within our Human Resources team. This position is primarily in-person at our office in Mendota Heights, MN.

Position Overview

This role will focus primarily on administrative and operational support for the Human Resources department. Responsibilities include file organization, data entry, auditing records, assisting with employee support requests, supporting employee change processes, and contributing to a variety of HR-related projects and daily tasks. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic and paper employee records in accordance with organizational policies and confidentiality requirements.
  • Complete data entry, record audits, file clean-up, and other administrative projects to support accurate employee information.
  • Process employee changes and updates in HR systems, including ADP and MITC.
  • Administer and maintain I-9, Background Study, and Driver Eligibility processes in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Run, review, and distribute HR reports and assist with data tracking and reporting needs.
  • Respond to routine employee questions and requests, providing assistance or directing inquiries to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Support onboarding and orientation activities, including scheduling, materials preparation, logistics, and related administrative tasks.
  • Provide administrative support for recruitment, training, payroll processing, and other HR functions as needed.
  • Assist with HR projects, process improvements, audits, and other departmental initiatives.
  • Coordinate routine administrative needs for the HR department, including ordering lunches and supporting meetings and events.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with employees and team members across the organization.
  • Perform other duties and provide additional support to the Human Resources team as assigned.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with HRIS systems or data entry platforms preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel
  • Minimum of one year of HR experience preferred

 Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree in a related field or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred

 

Work Schedule & Location

The position is fully in-person with an expectation of being in the office on Mendota Heights, MN at least four days per week during regular business hours (sometime between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm). Remote work may be available based on department needs, provided consistent communication and routines are established. The ability to travel to our programs throughout the Twin Cities and surrounding areas is required.
