Our Mohs Lead Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting clinic staff and patients with Mohs surgeries and scheduling. Serving as the primary clinical assistant during Mohs procedures, the Lead ensures the delivery of safe, knowledgeable, and professional patient care under the direction of the provider and/or nurse, strictly within their scope of practice.
Additionally, this leadership role is pivotal in driving clinic efficiency and team growth by training and mentoring the back-office team and delegating tasks to optimize clinical flow.
Schedule:Â Monday through Thursday
What You'll Do:
- Train and mentor MOHS back-office team
-Â Delegate tasks to ensure clinical flow of back office allows for excellent patient care and experience
-Â Adjust quickly to changing priorities and supports shifting workloads
-Â Schedule Mohs surgeries working closely with Mohs providers
- Assist Lead HistoTech and assist as appropriate for all Mohs surgeries
- Send referral letters once surgery is complete
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient exams and procedures, always keeping room neat and clean
Skills and Experience:Â
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Medical Assistant with Mohs experience is requiredÂ
- Certified as a Medical Assistant required
- HistoTech experience highly preferred
