Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Mesa

Full-Time | Outpatient Pediatrics | Saturday Pay Differential

Arbor Therapy is seeking a compassionate and energetic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing Mesa clinic. In this full-time role, you'll provide engaging, evidence-based occupational therapy services that help children strengthen their independence and achieve meaningful developmental goals.

You'll work alongside experienced occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, therapy assistants, and support staff in a collaborative environment where your expertise and professional growth are valued.

What You'll Do

  • Provide direct pediatric occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed to support meaningful functional outcomes
  • Deliver engaging, play-based interventions addressing fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, regulation, and developmental skills
  • Monitor client progress and communicate relevant updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with OTs, COTAs, SLPs, SLPAs, PTs, PTAs, caregivers, and other members of the care team
  • Educate and support families through home-program recommendations and ongoing communication
  • Create a positive, compassionate, and welcoming experience for clients and families

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Active Arizona Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one before employment
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain it before employment
  • Passion for working with children and supporting families
  • Strong communication, organization, documentation, and teamwork skills
  • Pediatric experience or an interest in early intervention, developmental disabilities, and sensory integration
  • Feeding therapy experience or interest is a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply

Full-Time Schedule

Working Conditions

This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and lifting while providing direct pediatric therapy services. Team members work with children who have a variety of developmental, sensory, physical, behavioral, and communication needs in an active outpatient clinic environment.
