Job Summary
Letronics is a small, established company that develops and supplies specialized products and solutions for major companies, with a significant focus on the commercial aviation industry.
We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager to help manage customer relationships and product projects from initial opportunity through development, delivery, training, and ongoing support.
This is a varied, customer-facing position. You may be working with a customer on a new product concept, preparing for a trade show, conducting a product demonstration, coordinating a trial, managing a product launch, providing training, or following up on an existing program.
We are a small team, so this is not a position where projects are simply passed between departments. The Project Manager is expected to take ownership, stay involved, and help get things done.
Some domestic and international travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer and product projects from initial opportunity through completion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and key contacts.
- Participate in customer meetings, presentations, product demonstrations, evaluations, and trials.
- Represent Letronics at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Coordinate trade show preparation, products, samples, demonstrations, and follow-up.
- Keep projects moving by tracking schedules, open items, responsibilities, and customer commitments.
- Coordinate between customers, management, product development, manufacturing partners, and suppliers.
- Assist with new product development by gathering customer requirements and communicating feedback.
- Become knowledgeable about Letronics products and confidently demonstrate them to customers.
- Develop and conduct customer training when required.
- Coordinate product launches, implementation, and ongoing customer support.
- Identify opportunities for product improvements and additional business with existing customers.
- Follow through on problems and open items until they are resolved.
- Pitch in where needed. As a small company, we value people who are willing to handle both the big picture and the everyday details required to make a project successful.
Qualifications
- Project management, account management, customer-facing, product development, training, or similar experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting to customers and conducting product demonstrations and training.
- Strong follow-through and ability to take ownership of projects.
- Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable learning technical and operational details of physical products.
- Practical, resourceful problem solver.
- Ability to work independently without a large support structure.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Experience in aviation, manufacturing, product development, technical products, training, or working with large corporate customers is a plus, but not required.
The Right Person
We are looking for someone who enjoys the variety, responsibility, and hands-on nature of a small company.
One day may involve presenting a new product to a major customer; another may involve preparing equipment for a demonstration, coordinating with a factory, solving a delivery issue, conducting training, or getting ready for a trade show.
There aren't layers of people for every function. We value people who see what needs to be done, take ownership, and follow it through.
In return, you'll work directly with company management and major customers, have significant independence, travel to customer locations and industry events, and play a meaningful role in developing and launching new products.
We're looking for someone who wants to own projects, not just manage schedules.
