About the Role 

We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead and coordinate electrical work on active construction projects while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and schedule expectations are met. In this role, you’ll provide day-to-day field leadership to electrical crews, interpret plans and specifications, coordinate with other trades, monitor project progress, and ensure installations comply with applicable electrical codes and project requirements. The ideal candidate combines strong electrical expertise with hands-on leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to keep crews aligned and work progressing efficiently.


Core Responsibilities

Crew Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, direct, and coordinate the daily activities of electricians and electrical crews.
  • Assign work based on project priorities, schedules, and workforce capabilities.
  • Provide field guidance, coaching, and technical support to crew members.
  • Monitor crew performance, productivity, workmanship, and adherence to expectations.


Electrical Installation & Quality

  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, wiring, equipment, fixtures, and components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and project specifications are met.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide direction on appropriate solutions.


Safety & Code Compliance

  • Promote and enforce safe work practices and jobsite safety requirements.
  • Ensure electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local and state requirements.
  • Identify potential hazards and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Ensure crews properly use tools, equipment, personal protective equipment, and safety procedures.


Project Coordination & Execution

  • Coordinate electrical activities with project leadership, subcontractors, and other trades.
  • Monitor daily progress against project schedules and communicate potential delays or constraints.
  • Coordinate material, equipment, and manpower needs to support efficient field operations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, materials used, field conditions, and project progress.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Electrical Foreman, Lead Electrician, or similar field leadership role in commercial construction.
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent electrical certification, as applicable to the jurisdiction.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising electrical crews and coordinating work on active construction projects.
