Johnson & Towers, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, has an opening for a Service Porter. This position is focused on supporting the daily operations of the branch by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility and lot environment. The Service Porter will assist multiple departments as needed while helping ensure the property, grounds, and work areas are properly maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving commercial vehicles back to customer sites
- Road test customer vehicles
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, service shop, parking lot, and surrounding grounds
- Remove trash, cardboard, pallets, scrap materials, and other debris from the property
- Assist with basic building and grounds maintenance as needed
- Move, organize, and stage vehicles and equipment throughout the lot and service areas
- Support technicians and service personnel with general shop assistance
- Perform pickup and delivery of parts, supplies, and other company-related items as needed
- Monitor the facility and report any maintenance, safety, or operational concerns to management
- Assist with maintaining a safe and professional working environment for employees and customers
- Operate company equipment and vehicles safely and responsibly
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Class A or B CDL required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and machinery
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
