The Packaging Technician reports to the Manager of Production. The ultimate objective of the
Packaging Technician is to package products both by hand and utilizing automated operating
equipment line efficiently and compliantly, while maintaining a safe production and sanitary work
environment. The Packaging Technician assists the Director of Production with daily tasks, as
needed, to maintain a productive work environment. The Packaging Technician is a full-time
position and may be required to work overtime.
Essential Duties and Tasks:
ā— Package flower products accurately and effectively.
ā— Adhere to direction with ensuring that production goals are met on a daily basis.
ā— Using automated operating equipment to complete tasks.
ā— Overseeing the quality of products produced daily.
ā— Full understanding of the quality standards at HHG
ā— Report quality issues to management.
ā— Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment.
ā— When required, accurately produce quality acceptable labels for packages.
ā— Maintain a reliable attendance record.
ā— Communicate effectively between the Packaging, Kitchen, and other HHG
departments.
ā— Assisting with gathering of daily production materials and inventory.
ā— Boxing/case packaging of packaged units.
ā— Assisting with break coverages.
ā— Understanding of all automated operating equipment required.
ā— Strict adherence to safety procedures and company policies.
ā— Have read and understand all S.O.P's pertaining to job duties.
Requirements and Qualifications:
ā— 1+ year of relevant work experience.
ā— Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
ā— Possess a can-do attitude, resourceful, action oriented, reliable, and a team player.
ā— Excellent communications skills as applied to internal teams
ā— Motivated with flexibility and adaptability.
ā— Possess a sense of urgency, problem-solving, and organizational skills with great attention to
detail.
ā— Over 21 with ability to obtain an MA agent registration card;
ā— Ability to meet minimum physical requirements to work in a production and retail environment.
