About the Role:
ALC FREIGHT INC is looking for a skilled and dependable CDL A Truck Driver to join our team running FedEx Express routes out of Middletown, CT. Responsibilities:
- Operate Class A tractor-trailer on local and regional FedEx Express delivery and pickup routes
- Safely transport freight in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate driver logs
- Load, unload, and verify freight for accuracy and proper handling
- Maintain on-time delivery performance and uphold FedEx service standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and terminal staff regarding route updates or issues
- Keep cab and equipment clean, organized, and in proper working condition
Requirements:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) required
- Must meet all DOT physical and medical certification requirements
- Clean MVR with a safe driving record
- Minimum 2-4 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused work ethic
