Your Role as Front Desk Hero

  • The Welcome: Greeting stressed pet parents (and their furry sidekicks) with empathy.
  • The Switchboard: Managing phones, transferring calls, and keeping calm under pressure.
  • The Logistics: Handling check-ins, updating intake boards, and keeping medical teams synced.
  • The Cashier: Processing payments cleanly (Cherry, CareCredit, ScratchPay, etc.).
  • The Sanctuary: Keeping our lobby clean, stocked with snacks, and welcoming.

 

Physical Requirements and Workplace Environment


Veterinary medicine is rewarding but it is physically demanding. Candidates must be able to meet the following operational needs with or without reasonable accommodation. 

  • Mobility - Ability to stand, walk and bend frequently throughout long shifts 
  • Lifting - Ability to lift up to 40lbs independently and use teamwork for heavier patients. 
  • Sensory Tolerance : Ability to navigate high-stimulus environments with loud barking and strong odors 
  • Resilience - Ability to manage occasional scratches and handle interactions with highly emotional clients

Requirements

  What You Bring to the Team

  • Experience: At least 1 year in a veterinary clinic is required. 
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Key Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, a calm demeanor under pressure, and the emotional resilience to navigate stressful or sensitive situations professionally. 
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ezyVet or Vet Radar is a major plus!
