Role Purpose

The Inspection Supervisor provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for the Quality Inspection team to ensure inspection activities meet production schedules and quality standards. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives and ensures compliance with company procedures while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The supervisor plays a key role in training, performance management, and cross-functional communication.


Scope & Responsibilities


Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Quality Inspection team members and oversee daily operations of inspection areas

• Coordinate inspection activities to meet production schedules and customer requirements

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, delivery, cost, and safety

• Develop training materials and facilitate training for inspection personnel

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving quality issues

• Manage workforce activities including timekeeping and overtime control

• Monitor team performance and provide feedback and coaching

• Maintain and report inspection metrics and performance data

• Lead daily huddle board meetings and communication activities

• Ensure implementation and sustainment of 5S practices within assigned areas

• Ensure compliance with PEI procedures and train team members accordingly

• Facilitate communication between Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve issues and align expectations

• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Enforce safety procedures and address safety concerns promptly

• Complete required reports and documentation as assigned by the Quality Manager

• Perform assigned duties in accordance with documented procedures and work instructions


Work Experience & Skills

Education: 
• High school diploma or equivalent required


Experience: 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or related field 
• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required


Skills / Knowledge:

• Knowledge of quality systems, gauging, and close tolerance measurement

• Ability to analyze, identify, and solve problems

• Strong understanding of manufacturing and inspection processes

• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
