This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.

Main Functions

The Director Operations will develop and implement capital equipment expansion programs across Fralock sites, by close coordination with site Directors, Operations to develop detailed Capex implementation plans, coordinate resource requirements, both external and internal, and drive activities to ensure capacity expansion programs are executed to plan.

The Director Operations will also assess Facilities and Maintenance requirements for Fralock sites, develop detailed plans for site maintenance staffing and preventative maintenance programs to ensure reliable operational infrastructure is available for site heads of operations. In addition, this Director Operations will be interface point of contact for EHS to coordinate effective implementation of safety requirements and facilitate 3rd party inspectors and permitting requirements.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Develops plan capital equipment expansion programs to increase Fralock capacity.
  • Develop resourcing plans, both internal and external vendors, and contractors to complete capital equipment expansion programs.
  • Develops and implements preventative maintenance programs for capital equipment across Fralock sites.
  • Develops resourcing plan for facilities and maintenance staffing across Fralock sites.
  • Interface with EHS staff and Director of EH&S to ensure effective implementation of site safety requirements, 3rd party facility inspections
  • Oversees and participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of manufacturing, facilities and maintenance employees.
  • •Oversees schedules and assignments for the division.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversee the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Reviews production reports ensuring safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
  • Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
  • Assists the COO with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
  • Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.
  • Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
  • Works with the Division Controller to develop an operating budget.
  • Delivers progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.
  • Supervises equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Preferred Skills

  • APICS Certification
  • Fluent with M2M MRP/ERP system
  • Knowledge of military and commercial specifications and standards
  • Lean manufacturing /six sigma training and experience preferred. 


Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering Field or APICS Certification


Experience Requirements

10+ years in a manufacturing/production environment
