We are recruiting a Press Supervisor to join our talented team of high-impact employees on 2nd shift in our Milton, WI production facility. The Press Supervisor provides day-to-day supervision for the Press team which includes Operators, 2nd Operators, Helpers, and Mail Sorters. The Press Supervisor also performs various administrative tasks to support the department.
Qualified candidates will:
- Provide day-to-day supervision and coaching of Press staff as required. Complete annual performance reviews in collaboration with the Department Manager.Â
- Review and approve timecards, eligibility for the perfect attendance bonus, and hours worked by temporary employees on a weekly basis.Â
- Perform daily check-in at shift change, making necessary adjustments to press assignments when employees are absent, communicate daily roster numbers to HR and staffing agencies.
- Regularly walk the production floor, checking in with each press to ensure that jobs are running smoothly and offering assistance as needed.
- Communicate essential information with the incoming/outgoing supervisor at shift change. Maintain regular communication with other departments in the organization such as Customer Service, Warehouse, and Lettershop.
- Perform administrative tasks such as creating daily press assignments and reviewing and reconciling operator time sheets.
- Review production schedules and propose modifications as needed and approve samples once production begins.
- Provides coverage for opposing shift supervisor’s PTO time and on Saturdays when needed.
Experience and Education:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- At least 3-5 years of prior supervisory experience.
- Experience working in a Windows based environment.
- Prior experience as a lithographic press operator including experience with inkjet printing, inline finishing, and rotary cutters is strongly preferred.
