  • Coordinate field erection activities with superintendents, foremen, crane operators, fabricators, and subcontractors to maintain safe and efficient project execution.
  • Review structural steel shop drawings, erection drawings, contract documents, and project specifications to ensure accurate field installation.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, equipment schedules, and material deliveries to keep projects on track.
  • Lead RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and coordination with general contractors, fabricators, engineers, and owners throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project costs, productivity, and labor performance while identifying opportunities to improve project profitability.
  • Resolve field issues, sequencing conflicts, and installation challenges to minimize delays and maintain project momentum.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and contract requirements.
  • Support project closeout by completing punch lists, turnover documentation, and final customer deliverables.
  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial and industrial structural steel erection projects.
  • Direct project management experience with structural steel erection is required.
  • Experience managing projects involving miscellaneous metals, ornamental iron, and precast erection is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working for a structural steel erector, specialty steel subcontractor, or self-perform contractor is required.
  • Candidates based in Wisconsin or within commuting distance of Southeastern Wisconsin are strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of structural drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, and project financial management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
  • General commercial construction Project Managers without direct structural steel erection project management experience will not be considered.
  • Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plan options, paid time off, and other company-sponsored programs.
