What You’ll Do

Minden Medical Center is seeking a well-organized, energetic Pharmacist for our Pharmacy Department who can thrive in a fast-paced acute care setting. This inpatient hospital pharmacist role supports safe, timely medication preparation and dispensing across the facility, including emergency and life-saving medications, while following established inpatient medication processes.

Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare, verify, and dispense inpatient medications per hospital policy
- Support medication needs for acute care areas, including urgent and emergent situations
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, physicians, coworkers, and supervisors
- Maintain accuracy, integrity, and safety in all pharmacy workflows

Qualifications:
- Education requirements met prior to licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Pharmacy
- Current Louisiana Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License in good standing
- Pharmacist: 1+ year hospital experience preferred
- Clinical Pharmacist: 1+ year hospital experience required

As a Pharmacist, you’ll start by getting oriented to the day’s priorities and current patient-care needs, then settle into a steady rhythm of focused work punctuated by quick pivots when urgent requests come in. You’ll collaborate with nurses and providers to clarify orders and keep care moving, while staying attentive to detail and interruptions that are common in acute care.

Throughout the shift, you’ll balance independent concentration with frequent, respectful communication—answering questions, double-checking critical items, and helping the department stay organized under pressure. By the end of the day, you’ll hand off clearly, knowing your work supported safe, timely treatment when it mattered most.
