A Typical Shift

Your day starts by reviewing system queues and daily reports, then coordinating priorities with the pharmacist to keep medication dispensing on track. You move between the cleanroom and workstations as needed, staying mindful of USP <797>, <795>, and <800> practices while keeping documentation current. Throughout the shift, you respond to phone messages, clarify stock or workflow questions, and help resolve routine issues within scope. You’ll also support prior authorizations-related communication when it intersects with medication access, and keep an eye on emergency readiness—checking crash carts and expiration dates. Before wrapping up, you reconcile open items, update the team, and confirm email and meeting notes are addressed.
