Position Summary

Boelter is seeking an experienced CAD/Revit Designer to join our Design Services team. This position is responsible for developing accurate and detailed foodservice equipment construction documents using Revit and/or AutoCAD.

The ideal candidate has professional Revit experience within the foodservice design industry and understands how commercial kitchens, foodservice equipment, and building systems are documented and coordinated within a construction project.

The CAD/Revit Designer will work closely with Project Managers and other members of the Design Services team throughout the design and documentation process. The position requires a strong understanding of construction documents, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Professional experience using Revit in the commercial foodservice design industry.
  • Demonstrated experience producing foodservice equipment construction documents.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit; AutoCAD experience is also strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand architectural and engineering construction documents.
  • Understanding of commercial foodservice equipment, restaurant operations, and foodservice terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Architectural Design, Drafting, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as they relate to commercial foodservice design.
  • Experience working with architects, engineers, general contractors, manufacturers, fabricators, or foodservice consultants.
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360 or similar cloud-based project collaboration platforms.
  • Familiarity with applicable building codes and their practical application to foodservice environments.
