Maintenance Assistant

Opened in 2020, the Pillars of Prospect Park is conveniently located off the light rail transit station and close to the metro bus near the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN. This senior living community features 133 Independent living, 106 assisted living, and 44 memory care apartments. Two buildings make up this vibrant community and also encompass an on-site Intergenerational Child Care Center. Managed by Ebenezer, Minnesota's largest senior living operator. The Maintenance Assistant monitors preventative maintenance programs and repairs building systems and equipment. Trains other building staff, as needed, on basic troubleshooting of building systems and equipment. This position is for buildings that have 200+ units.

This schedule includes;

• 48 hours every two weeks ; full benefits package
• Monday, Wednesday, and every other Friday
• Every other weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains physical structure and grounds. This includes the following:
  • Repairs items found deficient by maintenance or requested by work orders
  • Changes filters and checks belts on air handle units
  • Checks kitchen equipment
  • Greases, checks belts, and oils laundry equipment
  • Helps in Housekeeping as requested
  • Assists with moving boxes, furniture, etc.
  • Maintains shop in a clean and orderly mannger
  • Removes snow from sidewalks and walkways and uses ice melt on sidewalks as needed
  • Trims around bushes, trees, and sidewalks
  • Keeps grounds safe and looking neat and attractive
• Processes work orders and performs other duties as assigned
• Assists with turnover of apartments for new residents
• All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• One to Three years experience

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
