Resource Label Group is seeking a Production Coordinator to join our team. The Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, production scheduling, inventory control, and plant-wide administrative support to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This position works closely with production, warehouse, customer service, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams to maintain material availability, support production schedules, and ensure customer commitments are met.

The Production Coordinator plays a key role in managing the flow of materials from procurement through production by maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating supplier deliveries, monitoring production priorities, and resolving scheduling or material shortages. This position also supports continuous improvement initiatives and special projects assigned by the Plant Manager while ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

 Pay Range: 22.00$ hourly 

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the purchasing of raw materials, packaging supplies, and other production-related materials to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders to maintain adequate stock and prevent production delays.
  • Schedule and coordinate production activities to meet customer requirements and production deadlines.
  • Work closely with production, warehouse, customer service, and the art department to ensure timely communication and efficient workflow.
  • Track material availability and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and production records.
  • Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and investigating discrepancies.
  • Coordinate special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned by the Plant Manager.
  • Identify and communicate potential supply, scheduling, or inventory issues and recommend solutions.
  • Support cross-functional teams to ensure production goals, customer expectations, and company objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards while performing assigned duties.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Plant Manager.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, purchasing, inventory control, scheduling, or a related operations role.
  • Experience in the printing, packaging, or label manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and priorities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as business needs require.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of a manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
