Basic Function: The Director of Supply Chain Operations directs all aspects of supply chain, production, logistics, and facilities; designs and executes strategies and plans to meet company’s short-term and long-term supply chain management and production requirements.

 

 

Activities & Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain
    • Implement a fully functional supply chain management/production infrastructure.
    • Develop strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
    • Establish key performance metrics relating to supply chain planning and forecasting.
    • Purchasing
      • Develop and manage materials planning function for goods and materials needed for operations.
      • Utilize sales forecast to determine inventory demands.
      • Oversee and direct the procurement and purchasing of all goods necessary for operations.
      • Strategically invest and maintain relationships with vendors.
    • Inventory
      • Oversee all inventory related functions; excluding valuation and cost accounting which will be determined by the Finance team.
      • Create item specific forecasts over a rolling time horizon to be used for ordering and inventory management purposes.
    • Production
      • Oversee production planning, forecasting, and scheduling.
      • Develop a manufacturing strategy; integrating production processes with company goals.
      • Develop efficient procedures within Fabrication and Production Development that ensure timely completion of projects/initiatives.

 

  • Logistics
    • Oversee the strategic and tactical warehousing and distribution of all materials.
    • Coordinate development of solutions to complex logistics support problems with other product support functions, customers, and suppliers.
    • Develop logistics plans and procedures to ensure internal and customer needs are met.
  • Facilities
    • Oversee the regular maintenance and strategic initiatives of ABI facilities.
    • Collaborate with human capital and safety team members to ensure facilities are meeting expectations for legal and safe working conditions.



Skills & Qualifications

  • Mastery of an ERP system (“NetSuite” by Oracle preferred), specifically regarding demand plan, supply plan, costed BOMs, production workflows, and warehouse/distribution systems.
  • Must have unwavering integrity and positivity
  • Must be emotionally intelligent, a humble contributor to group goals and company needs
  • Must be a self-motivated and driven learner with a desire to grow and be developed
  • Must be willing to participate in ongoing education
  • Must be proficient utilizing computers, mobile devices, and core office applications
  • Advanced ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Developed ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems



Education & Experience:

  • Supply Chain Management certification
  • Minimum 10+ years experience successfully leading teams
  • Minimum 10+ years purchasing, supply chain, inventory and/or production management experience

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work in-house
  • Must have the ability to safely lift 40 pounds
  • Must have the ability to stand, sit, and/or see a screen for a full work shift
  • Ability to talk or hear to communicate with others via phone, in-person, and/or computer
  • Ability to listen to customers/vendors/colleagues, problem solve, and respond accordingly
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently

 

Environmental Conditions & Travel:

  • The employee is exposed to manufacturing and warehouse environments with moderate to loud noise as well as office environments with moderate noise.
  • The employee is required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment while working in the warehouse or manufacturing environments.
  • Travel: Less than 5%.
