Position Overview: The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting products throughout the production process to ensure they meet defined quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. This position reports directly to the Quality & Compliance Manager and has no direct supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsYou’ll like this role if: You like seeing the immediate impact of your work You like living in the details! Who you’ll work with: Quality, production leadership, and engineering. What You’ll Do: Quality Control Supports and maintains established quality control objectives.   Executes and implements quality control instructions to ensure product meets quality standards. Inspects, measures, and analyzes in-process product for defects and dispositions it accordingly. Performs final inspection and assist with the release of product for shipment. Documents and maintains non-conforming material and database. Assist with backflushing duties and product reporting. Helps maintain accurate production and quality databases for reporting and trend analysis. Upholds cGMP practices and standards Attend daily production meetings. Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality control activities and helps determine any actions to be implemented to address the situation. Work in conjunction with MRB and department heads to determine root cause of any product quality issues. Other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1 year prior manufacturing experience preferred. Work Environment: Manufacturing/Distribution Environment This position operates in a manufacturing plant environment. The role routinely involves working around machinery, equipment, and moving mechanical parts. The facility may be subject to varying temperatures, loud noise levels, and airborne particles such as dust or chemical fumes, depending on the area of the plant. This role may require periods of standing, sitting, or walking throughout the workday. Occasional bending, lifting, or carrying items up to 50 pounds may be necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, control, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk. Hearing abilities required for this environment include being able to clearly hear and respond to audible alarms, production equipment, forklifts, and other machinery to maintain a safe work environment.
