This position plays a key role in supporting employees, coordinating recruiting activities, maintaining HR records and systems, and contributing to a positive and engaging workplace culture. The successful candidate will be comfortable interacting with team members at all levels of the organization, balancing multiple priorities, and providing high-quality service in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Support

  • Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employees seeking information regarding benefits, ADP, company policies, and general HR inquiries.
  • Support leave of absence processes by assisting employees, collecting documentation, and coordinating with the Benefits Manager.
  • Process HR documentation including personnel authorization forms, status changes, onboarding documents, and other employee-related paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Perform data entry, reporting, and spreadsheet tracking to support HR metrics, audits, and compliance activities.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, orientation scheduling, and preparation of new hire materials.

Recruitment & Talent Support

  • Support recruiting efforts through resume screening, candidate outreach, phone interviews, and interview scheduling.
  • Coordinate communication between candidates, hiring managers, and interview teams to provide an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Maintain job postings, applicant tracking system data, and recruiting documentation.
  • Assist with pre-employment processes including background checks, drug screens, and new hire paperwork.
  • Track recruiting activities and provide timely updates to hiring managers and HR leadership.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Assist in planning and coordinating employee engagement activities, recognition programs, meetings, and special events.
  • Support initiatives that strengthen employee morale, communication, and workplace culture.
  • Gather employee feedback and assist with implementing engagement programs and improvements.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where employees feel valued and respected.

HR Administration & Workflow Management

  • Maintain organized HR filing systems and records to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and documentation to support business and HR objectives.
  • Assist with policy updates, standard operating procedures, and employee communications.
  • Support HR activities across multiple locations to ensure consistency in processes and employee experience.
  • Balance multiple projects and priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1–3 years of HR, administrative, or office support experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks across two locations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with HRIS, ATS, or payroll systems (ADP preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to support employees at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in times of high-stress.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and attend special events and training when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.

Other Job Responsibilities and Physical Requirements

  • Good manual dexterity to perform computer functions.
  • Ability to perform light office duties and activities, including use of computers and other office equipment.
  • Position requires extended sitting/standing and occasional bending/stooping and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
