Responsibilities
Job PerformanceÂ
- Demonstrates competency in preparing patients for procedures.  Â
- Correctly performs all prescribed Mammography procedures in an efficient manner Â
- Is able to work independently and critique exams.Â
- Is able to understand and provide thorough patient history when communicating with radiologists.Â
- Utilizes good judgment to plan effectively and solve problems.Â
- Is cognizant of radiation safety to self and others.Â
- Demonstrates competency in the storage and transfer of exams.Â
- Participates in community breast health events as needed.Â
Â
Patient CareÂ
- Provides patient education, including breast health and insures correct consent forms are signed for invasive procedures.Â
- Demonstrates competence in the administration of age appropriate care.Â
- Obtains and records adequate patient history and interprets physician's orders correctly.Â
- Correctly orders, tracks and charges exams in a timely fashion.Â
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of JRCERT approved school for Radiologic Technology with equivalent training and experience as required by the licensing bodies. Additional Mammography education as required by licensing bodies.
Licenses/Certifications:Â
- The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in both Radiology and Mammography.Â
- Holds a current license or conditional license from the State of Illinois Emergency Management Agency and/or the Iowa Department of Public Health.Â
- Current CPR
